A craft journal for your own phone
How many balls of yarn did that sweater take again? Which needle did you use?
And where did that pattern go?

What Stitch Tracker keeps track of
-
Your projects
With photos, yarn, needle sizes and dates, from planned to finished
-
Counters
As many as you need, attached to the project they belong to
-
Your patterns
As a PDF, a photo, a link or written by you, in your own categories
-
Your needle stash
Sorted by size, so you're never second-guessing in the shop again
-
Your numbers
How many projects, how much yarn you went through, how long it took
Write your own pattern
Got a pattern in your head, or on a scrap of paper? Write it out in the app. You walk through a few short steps about what you are making and what you need, and after that you simply type your rows. The numbering takes care of itself.
- Separate fields for your yarn, your needles, the size and the gauge
- Headings to divide your pattern up, and photos in between the steps
- Your own abbreviations alongside, so nobody has to guess what you meant
- When it is finished you save it as a PDF, with your own title page in front
While you work you read it back with the guides over it, so you see straight away where you left off.
Everything stays on your own phone.
Stitch Tracker doesn't ask for internet access.
There is no account to make, and there is no server your data goes
to: everything stays on your own device.
How this started
As someone who loves crocheting, knitting and sewing, I'd had enough: I just couldn't find a journal app that really fit what I wanted. And for something as simple as keeping track of your projects, many apps ask for a hefty monthly subscription.
So I decided to do it myself. With a little help from my lovely other half and the internet, I built my own ideal craft journal. An experiment that got out of hand, but a wonderfully fun one.
These days I use Stitch Tracker every day myself, for all of my own projects. Everything in it is there because I needed it.
A ball of yarn for the maker?
Stitch Tracker was made in my spare time. If you like it and want to give something back, you can. Or just a message about what you're making with it — that makes me every bit as happy.
